Lighting the way home through life’s changing tides

The Heart of Our Work

At Lighthouse Therapies, we offer a warm, compassionate space where your whole self is welcome — mind, body, and spirit

At Lighthouse Therapies, we’re here to support you through life’s challenges with compassion and care.
We offer a safe, welcoming space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions at your own pace. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties or life transitions, you don’t have to face it alone.

Our experienced therapists take a holistic, person-centred approach, drawing on tools such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and other evidence-based practices. We tailor our support to meet you where you are – helping you build resilience, find clarity, and move towards lasting change.

Whatever your journey looks like, we are here to walk alongside you, offering guidance, connection, and a space where healing can happen.

01

Individual counselling at Lighthouse Therapies offers a safe, supportive space just for you.
It’s a place to explore what’s on your mind, work through personal challenges, and reconnect with your inner strengths — all at your own pace.

Our experienced therapists work one-on-one with you to navigate concerns such as anxiety, depression, grief, low self-esteem, and life transitions. Using a blend of therapeutic approaches — including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and person-centred therapy — we tailor our support to suit your needs and goals.

Whether you're facing something specific or simply wanting to grow, individual counselling can help you build resilience, develop practical coping tools, and create meaningful, lasting change in your life.

03

Family therapy at Lighthouse Therapies offers a space for families to come together, strengthen their connections, and navigate challenges as a team.
We understand that every family is unique — and that relationships can sometimes feel strained, especially during times of change or stress.

We work with families to explore concerns such as conflict, communication breakdowns, behavioural issues, and life transitions. Using a collaborative, supportive approach, we help each family member better understand their role within the family system and learn new ways to relate with empathy and respect.

Through open dialogue and practical strategies, family therapy encourages healthier communication, deeper understanding, and stronger bonds — helping your family create a more connected and harmonious home life.

02

Couples counselling at Lighthouse Therapies offers a supportive space to reconnect, communicate, and grow together.
Whether you're facing ongoing challenges or simply want to strengthen your bond, we’re here to help you navigate your relationship with care and understanding.

Our experienced therapists work collaboratively with couples to explore concerns such as communication difficulties, trust issues, emotional distance, or conflict. Through open, guided conversations and evidence-based approaches — including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and emotion-focused therapy (EFT) — we help you develop healthier ways of relating, deepen emotional intimacy, and rebuild connection.

Every relationship has its ups and downs. Couples counselling provides the tools, support, and insight to move forward with greater clarity, respect, and connection

04

At Lighthouse Therapies, we offer individual and group clinical supervision for therapists and mental health professionals at every stage of their career.
Our supervision spaces are designed to be reflective, supportive, and grounded in your personal and professional growth.

Individual supervision provides a confidential, one-on-one setting where you can explore clinical challenges, deepen your insight, and develop your practice in a way that aligns with your values and wellbeing.
Group supervision offers the opportunity for collaborative learning, peer connection, and shared wisdom — all within a safe, structured environment.

We take a trauma-informed, ethical, and strengths-based approach to supervision, with the goal of helping you grow in confidence, maintain clinical integrity, and feel supported in the important work you do.

Supervision is available both in-person and online to suit your needs and schedule.

Meet Our Therapists

Matthew

Registered Psychotherapist/Counsellor

I’m a registered psychotherapist with over four years of experience supporting clients through a wide range of life challenges. My work has taken me into diverse settings — from residential services and high schools to private practice and multidisciplinary teams — giving me a rich understanding of the many ways people experience and express their mental health.

I work with individuals from all walks of life, including neurodiverse clients and those facing complex mental health concerns. Whether in individual or couples therapy, my approach is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and respect for your unique journey.

I'm trained in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and the Gottman Method for couples counselling. At the heart of my practice is a person-centred, emotion-focused approach — meaning our work together is always tailored to your needs, experiences, and goals, past, present and future.

I’m a registered member of both PACFA and ACA, and deeply committed to creating a safe, supportive space where growth and healing can unfold.
